Blood Splash

This poem is a representation of what Kenya has been going through since the time she sent her troops to Somalia to fight the AL SHAAB AB terrorist group..The attacks have been numerous and, “The Garisa University College Attack”  tops the list with the highest number of victims who were wiped out like flies by these bandits. If only me and you could stand together against terrorism, then we can make the world great and a safe place to live in. Together we can completely exterminate terrorism from the face of the earth.

Blood Splash

our land has bled

since we took our troops

to the state of puntland*

to fight the enemy

from its own territory

our land is bleeding

the enemy lives among us

blood is everywhere

blood in barracks

blood in colleges

blood in malls

our land is drowning

our land is bleeding

fallen heroes are brought home

and laid to rest with their ancestors

the grave keeps on swallowing them

and never gets satisfied

it cries for more bodies

to drench our land with blood

our land is bleeding

monks have offered prayers

to the hunchback* in heaven

to stop the blood splash

but the enemy keeps on attacking

blood is drowning our land

our land is bleeding

kiuks* seers and elders

should meet under the mugumo*

and sacrifice a black sheep

to the gods of our ancestors

and stop this blood splash

drowning us and our land!

  1. Hey! I know this is kinda off topic but I’d figured I’d ask.
Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest writing
a blog article or vice-versa? My website covers a lot of the same subjects as yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other.
If you are interested feel free to send me an email.

I look forward to hearing from you! Superb blog by the way!
